You Are Welcome Here Scholarship

You are a first-year, undergraduate, international applicant of any major applying to Old Dominion University. International applicants are individuals intending to apply for an F-1 visa who hold citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who don't also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

You demonstrate interest and initiative in leadership and intercultural learning.

You meet the admission criteria and adhere to the deadlines at Old Dominion University.

You complete a scholarship application and a 500-1,000 word essay or a two-to-five minute video describing your ideas for advancing intercultural learning and understanding at ODU, and how you plan to apply your ideas at the school you are applying to.

Scholarship Maintenance

• Scholarship can be renewed for up to 4 years (Fall and Spring semesters only)
• Participate in at least 10 hours of cultural sharing and engagement with the local community
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
• Enroll and successfully complete a minimum of 12 credits for Fall and Spring semesters
