Darlene James Memorial Bursary

To honour the memory of Darlene James, an alumni of MacEwan University, who was a young mom during her studies. The award will recognize and support young mothers who are enrolled at MacEwan. This endowment was created by the family and friends of Darlene James. It has been created as a way to remember Darlene James and the compassion she had for her community.

Criteria

To be eligible for this bursary, the student must:

• Be a mother under the age of 30
• Show financial need
• Submit a 250-word description relating their educational plans to improving the life of their children

Disbursement Criteria

For funds to be disbursed, successful applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course load and be in good academic standing.
