The Andrew Platten Scholarship

The Andrew Platten Scholarship is a cash award of £1,500 to one first year student. Applicants will need to be studying built environment or engineering subjects, have an annual household income of £25,000 or less and be the first in their family to attend university.

The scholarship is open to applications from candidates who meet the criteria below:

• Be the first in their immediate family to attend university.
• Have a household income of less than £25,000.
• Be a high achiever in their A-Level or equivalent studies, having achieved 128 UCAS points or higher.
• Be in their first year of study of their first undergraduate degree.
• Be studying in built environment and engineering subjects.

Payment of the scholarship will be made via the instalment schedule above, paid directly to a nominated bank account. The payment schedule can be amended for accelerated degrees or sandwich degrees.
