Connecting input from top leaders in private industry, government and nonprofit organizations, the program shows students how to make educated business decisions and establish effective management strategies. The objective of the plan is to prepare students for positions involving the management of natural resources in a variety of public and private settings.Few metro areas in the country offer a better perspective for environmental management studies than the thriving Houston-Galveston area. Located near a diverse industry base and multiple ports, UHCL can offer the hands-on learning experience you need to succeed. Gain practical knowledge through community outreach projects, internships and field research provided by the university's Environmental Institute of Houston. As a UHCL student, you will also have access to professional development through the Texas Association of Environmental Professionals and other organizations.
