The multidisciplinary Environmental Science program provides a foundation of knowledge and skills for careers in the environmental workforce. Students study biodiversity, climate change, pollution, environmental policy and more. Their research findings are presented at University colloquiums and national conferences. Students see firsthand how their work plays out along an international border in the desert Southwest. The Environmental Science Program provides undergraduate and Master's level preparation for students who wish to contribute to understanding and solving anthropogenic or natural problems associated with the environment. The program is designed to provide a rigorous foundation in the sciences that will prepare students for graduate school and careers in the environmental workforce. The program takes advantage of UTEP's unique binational setting that allows students to apply their expertise in the search for solutions to regional, national and international environmental problems.
