Environmental chemists study the presence and effects of chemicals in the air, water, and soil, identifying contaminants and analyzing factors related to human interaction with the natural world. With a solid foundation in laboratory protocols, scientific technique, and chemical theory, they are prepared to confront the oftentimes deleterious effects of industrial civilization's relationship with nature. Environmental chemists are not merely helping us understand the world, they are showing us how to save it.<br><br>This program may be the perfect fit for you in you are seeking an opportunity to not just earn a degree, but to make a difference. Environmental chemists are not just theoreticians, but practical problem-solvers who may spend as much time outside of the laboratory as in it.
