Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us. This course will provide you with the scientific knowledge and skills required to be a Physicist in addition to learning about the applications of computing and data science techniques in physics and related sciences.<br><br>In Year 1 and 2, we will introduce you to a range of subjects including Physics Theory, Physics Problem Solving, Data Science, Numerical Methods and Computational Physics, and Mathematics. You will also get practical experience in a laboratory conducting a variety of stimulating experiments. In Year 3, you will undertake a seven-month work placement in industry or research, and in Year 4, you will study new subjects including Thermal Physics, Ionising Radiation and Nuclear Physics, and Particle Physics and Astrophysics.<br><br>Throughout the course, you’ll develop the crucial skills and attributes sought by employers, including interpersonal skills, adaptability, problem-solving and communication skills. IT, Computing and Data Science form a significant part of the course, which also includes extensive practical and project work.
