Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training, and a graduate-entry course in Education requiring at least a half year of full-time study, or part-time equivalent, OR three-year Bachelor of Arts in Education. OR individual applications to be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will need to demonstrate that experience gained in any studies and or professional experience has provided them with the knowledge and skills to undertake the Master of Education. Applicants with a recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent qualification, and a graduate-entry course in Education requiring at least a half year of full-time study, or part-time equivalent, may be eligible for advanced standing of up to 12 points. Participants applying for credit for professional workplace learning or work completed through accredited professional development courses or continuing education should contact the Academic Chair for advice. Credit may also be granted for Masters-level units completed in other courses at Murdoch or at other higher education institutions with a maximum advanced standing of 12 points.

Test of English as a Foreign Language - IBT (TOEFL IBT) - 90 with no band less than 20

Pursue your passion for geometry, algebra and trigonometry with a qualification designed to teach mathematics to years 7-10. In this major, youll explore areas that are intimately related to years 7-10 mathematics curriculum, using university-level mathematical tools. Youll learn a range of topics including linear and non-linear functions, such as polynomials, sinusoidal and exponentials, geometry involving ideas of congruence, and transformation, trigonometry, measurement of areas and volumes, and probability and basic statistics. Youll gain an in-depth understanding of mathematics to enable you to develop skills that are crucial for effective teaching including constructing mathematical explanations and arguments, examining definitions of common mathematical terms, interpreting terminology and notation, expanding the range of representation of mathematical ideas by drawing helpful diagrams, developing familiarity of the close relationship between algebra and numbers, studying statements of theorems and developing some skills and knowledge of proving some of them and examining typical secondary school mathematical problems, students errors and misconceptions.
