Address the ecological and social crises of the 21st century: sustainability and the climate crisis, the way human behaviour affects our environment, and the pressures we face managing scarce resources. Gain the practical skills to make a change. Engage with environmental issues from a range of perspectives, drawing on subjects as varied as geography, ecology, anthropology, politics, economics, philosophy, law, history, literature and the creative arts. You will develop practical skills in geographic information systems (GIS) and biodiversity monitoring. Learn how environmental issues are framed and managed by different societal stakeholders, such as policymakers and the media. Specialise in areas such as geographies of people and places, tourism and conservation, and social anthropology.
