OPTION A Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.70 on the OMSAS Scale AND a minimum grade of 70 percent B in each of the following university level courses Human Anatomy 2 semester length courses 1.0 credit Human Physiology 2 semester length courses 1.0 credit CGPA will be calculated using entire degree Minimum required CGPA is 70 percent OPTION B Canadian certified Medical Laboratory Technologist MLT with a degree or diploma and a minimum CGPA of 2.70 on the OMSAS scale CGPA will be calculated using entire degree Minimum required CGPA is 70 percent IELTS - Applicants require an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with all components bands of the test being at a 6 or above Academic test format is required IELTS One Skill retake will not be considered for Admissions All scores must be achieved on a single test date. TOEFL - Michener only accepts TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Home Edition for admissions Applicants must meet a minimum total score of 100 with a minimum of 22 each in the Writing and Speaking components All scores must be achieved on a single test date.

The Diagnostic Cytology program is accredited by Accreditation Canada . Accreditation is a quality improvement process that ensures educational programs meet national standards and that students acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies for safe and effective care at entry to practice. Students in the Diagnostic Cytology program learn to detect and diagnose precancerous cellular changes, many different types of cancer and clinically significant infections. Michener offers one of the only Diagnostic Cytology programs in Canada. Graduates are eligible to write the national certification examination conducted by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) . Successful completion qualifies the graduate to seek employment across Canada, those wishing to practise in Ontario must also register with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) Credential Earned: Advanced Diploma Program Length: 4 Semesters across 2 years (Full-time) Program Delivery: On site with online components Start Date: September 2024 Application Deadline: February 1, 2024 Program Code: MICH CY222
