You can also take advantage of National Science Foundation, RI Sea Grant, and National Institutes of Health funded programs to conduct research over the summer while receiving a stipend.<br><br>The degree is well suited for students with an interest in the basic sciences, health related fields or a desire to work in biotechnology, especially the biopharmaceutical industry.
