You’ll join the ranks of those who manage, integrate, analyze and interpret data to catalyze research, refine clinical care and shape public policy. In this versatile 16-month program, broad coursework, flexible electives and mentorship provide you with a master’s degree tailored to your own interests and career trajectory. You can choose to pursue a thesis track (Plan A) or complete a graded internshippracticum report for an 11-month intensive pathway (Plan B). A part-time option is also available. The use of large, complex, and varied data sets in clinical care and biomedical research presents significant opportunity. There is a great need for professionals who can manage, integrate, analyze, and interpret data to make recommendations that accelerate research, improve clinical care, or shape public policy.<br><br>Increasingly sophisticated data comes from electronic health records (EHR), clinical trials, cohort studies, and geo-mapped incidence information for a variety of diseases. Our program will equip you to work with and integrate these and other diverse sources. We also emphasize the professional skills needed to collaborate with, manage, andor lead cross-disciplinary teams. You will gain the grounding and education required to define thoughtful inquiries, apply sophisticated computational approaches, interpret results, and offer informed advice.<br><br>Our students are prepared to serve in a variety of roles from designing studies, integrating large complex data sets, analyzing data, managing projects and teams, leading process improvement in clinical settings, or advancing research that impacts prevention and treatment.
