The Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) in Assistant in Pathology program utilizes innovative instructional methods in conjunction with the medical school and physician assistant program's diverse resources to provide students with outstanding educational opportunities. The curriculum provides graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to maximize healthcare as Pathologists Assistants and leaders in ever-evolving healthcare industry.The program is a full-time 20-month curriculum culminating in a Master of Science in Biomedical Science (MSBS) degree. The curriculum includes didactic schedule, hands-on experience in surgical pathology gross room and autopsy services. During clinical rotation, students will go through rotations in various laboratory sections for a wide-ranging experience.The mission of Assistant in Pathology program is to provide a comprehensive didactic and clinically educational program necessary to develop highly skilled, well-educated, Pathologists Assistants who are capable of providing high quality, cost-effective, patient-centered health care services in a variety of settings.An understanding of the principles of scientific inquiry and research design, as well as the ability to apply these principles, to read critically, and interpret the literature in order to and enhance the delivery of healthcare.An ability to incorporate the basic principles of education and teaching-learning into techniques which benefit the patient and improve healthcare outcomes.
