Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field that overlaps with both the biological sciences and the physical and mathematical sciences, our educational program emphasizes the integration of computer science with genetics and molecular biology. It also provides a foundation in mathematics and statistics and skills such as computer programming, database design, and operating systems management. Students attracted to this program have dual interests in computer science and biology and find it an excellent choice for their broad interests.
