The UWF-Teach programs provide students with a Bachelor of Arts degree in a STEM field and Florida Professional Teacher certification in four years. The programs provide the professional education knowledge and skills necessary to teach students with diverse learning needs. Upon graduation from this program, students are eligible for a Professional Florida Educator's Certificate for teaching grades 6-12. Through a collaboration between the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering and the College of Education and Professional Studies, students graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in their chosen math or science field with Professional Teacher Certification. Students complete the content of a regular science or math major along with education coursework and practical teaching experiences. UWF-Teach graduates earn the credentials for a career teaching high school or middle school with the option of using their science or math degree to work in the corporate, public or higher education spheres.
