The Master of Arts in Teaching - Secondary Biology Concentration leads to an initial teaching endorsement in 6-12th grade biology. This program is intended for students with a BA or BS in biology, or an equivalent degree, who wish to earn teacher certification in the State of Michigan. Certified teachers with the Biology (DA) endorsement can teach Biology in 6-12th grade classrooms. As a student in this program, you can take advantage of all that the College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences have to offer. You may seek advising, apply for scholarships, and participate in activities both in Biology, the home department for this program, and in the Department of Teacher Education.
