The mission of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics PhD Program is to prepare students to successfully solve the world’s most pressing health problems—from tackling pandemics and infectious diseases to decoding the genomics of Alzheimer’s. Through an integrated approach to training that draws from the population and quantitative health sciences, you’ll collaborate in cross-disciplinary studies and engage in research around health challenges—all while honing your grant writing and communication skills. Our accessible faculty serve as thoughtful mentors and can connect you to leaders in academia, industry, and public health across the country and around the world. Under their guidance, you’ll develop the skills you need to lead research addressing a wide range of issues in population-based health.
