Lehigh’s undergraduate major in biochemistry teaches students the branch of science concerned with the chemical and physicochemical processes that occur within living organisms. It is an interdepartmental program managed by a committee of biochemists, bioorganic chemists and molecularcellular biologists. An interdepartmental B.S. biochemistry major is offered in the College of Arts and Sciences. The B.S. in biochemistry degree is managed by an interdepartmental committee composed of biochemists, bioorganic chemists, and molecularcellular biologists. The committee administers the degree, monitors the academic program, provides research possibilities, and advises student majors.
