Degree programs in general human ecology allow students to integrate knowledge for an understanding of human needs, environments, and relationships. As professionals and citizens, graduates will advance the well-being of individuals, families, organizations, and communities. The general human ecology program allows flexibility in course selection for first year students who are undecided but considering programs offered by the College of Health and Human Sciences. Careful planning allows students to explore options while completing courses applicable to most programs. Successful completion of the BS in Human Ecology requires students to identify career goals and develop a degree plan that will prepare them to advance toward those goals.
