Graduate School Requirements: All applicants to CBMS meet (and preferably exceed) the requirements of the UW-Madison Graduate School. Grade Point Average: Although grade point averages (GPA) of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) meet the requirements of the Graduate School, most applicants accepted into our program have at least a 3.2 GPA. Minimum TOEFL requirement- 92 internet (iBT); 580 paper-based test (PBT) Minimum IELTS requirement- 7.0 Minimum IELTS Indicator requirement: 7.0

Students seeking an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in core areas of animal and human health can do so through the UW School of Veterinary Medicine’s Comparative Biomedical Sciences (CBMS) Graduate Program. This highly ranked program integrates faculty from a wide variety of departments throughout the school and the UW-Madison campus and offers a unique research training experience for its students.
