A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
A 500-800 word statement of purpose (the online application form refers to this as a ''personal statement'')
An undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or better
Two letters of recommendation, preferably from previous instructors or employers
Unofficial digital transcripts (to be uploaded to your application) and official transcripts. Please follow the instructions on the Graduate School admissions page for submitting official transcripts.

An overall score of 80 or above, Minimum scores in the following areas: Reading: 20, Writing: 22, Listening: 17, Speaking: 17 (the suggested minimum speaking score for international teaching assistants is 23). The minimum score on the Paper-based TOEFL is 550. IELTS: Required minimum score of 6.5. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in the undergraduate career that can be confirmed with official transcripts from the institution (some programs may require a higher or lower GPA).
