English for University Studies (EUS) is a full-time, 12 week pre-sessional programme. It's perfect if you need to develop your academic skills and ability in academic English to the level required for university entry for foundation, undergraduate (Bachelors), and postgraduate (Masters and PhD) study. You can join an EUS course on the Singleton Park Campus in September and January.<br><br>The English For University Studies Pre-sessional (EUS) will help you to improve the skills you need to progress successfully to your foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate course. Exact course content depends on your entry level, but each EUS level will help you to develop the following important academic language and study skills: Language Skills for Academic Studies, Academic Reading, Listening and Note-taking Skills for Academic Lectures, Academic Writing, Presentation and Academic Speaking Skills, Using Academic Sources and Referencing Skills and Critical Thinking. During the course, you will build a portfolio of coursework which will be used as part of your final assessment. Each EUS student has a personal tutor who will meet you regularly to help you to develop individual targets and to achieve your academic goals. EUS gives you the academic English and academic study skills you need to prepare for your future university studies.
