English for Academic Preparation (EAP) is an accredited pathway course for international students who do not meet English requirements for a course they intend to study at MIT. The courses are designed to help you improve your English language skills and prepare you for further study at MIT or other tertiary institutions. The course includes reading comprehension, listening, note-taking, essay, report writing skills, oral presentation and debating skills, mastering academic speech, reference and research skills, examination skills, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation workshops. Avoiding plagiarism by introducing effective referencing and summarising skills are also included in the course.
