First Certificate preparation at Milner College is offered as a full time course. FCE is a suitable course for students whose English level is upper-intermediate, and who can deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. At the end of the course, FCE students should have a very good grasp of vocabulary and be able to construct a convincing argument. They should also be aware of varying degrees of formality and politeness as expressed in language. FCE is a useful qualification as it is recognised by some employers and universities as proof of a sound intermediate level.
