The primary goal of the General English program is to prepare students to communicate successfully in English outside the classroom. This program is designed to develop autonomous learning through student-centred activities with a focus on task-based learning and communicative competence. By the end of the course, students will be able to use their English more confidently and with greater fluency. Career Pathways: Successful completion of this course may provide opportunities where applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency at a high level.Learning Outcomes<br>Students who achieve a passing grade at Elementary level may progress onto Pre-Intermediate level.Students who achieve a passing grade at Pre-Intermediate level may progress onto Intermediate level.<br>Students who achieve a passing grade at Intermediate level may progress onto English for Academic Purposes or VET course. Study Pathways: Students who achieve a passing grade at Intermediate may progress onto a vocational course or an undergraduate university course. Delivery Mode: Small group, face-to-face. Online materials and homework will provide students the opportunity to study outside the classroom in their own time.<br>Students Entry Requirement: Students must be at least 16 years of age at the time of course commencement.<br>Students must secure on appropriate visa thot allows them to study on ELICOS course in Australia prior to course commencement.<br>There are no education level entry requirements for any level of the EAP course.<br>English Requirements:<br>Elementary Level:<br>In order to qualify for the Elementary level, prospective students must: Achieve on Elementary level on the pre—entry test.<br>Pre-Intermediate Level:<br>In order to qualify for the Pre—Intermediate level, prospective students must: Achieve on Pre—Intermediate level on a pre—entry test OR<br>Achieve a passing grade in the Elementary General English level.<br>Intermediate Level:<br>In order to qualify for the Intermediate level, prospective students must:<br>Achieve on Intermediate level on a pre—entry test OR<br>Achieve a passing grade in the Pre—Intermediate General English level.
