The Master of Science in Cancer Care with a concentration in Exercise Physiology focuses on the development of exercise professionals with the knowledge, skills and abilities to provide specialty services to the growing cancer survivor population. The program is broad-based yet strictly focused on current scientific knowledge of cancer. The curriculum offers students the understanding of the disease process, its treatment, its effects on the body systems in terms of fitness, as well as its psychological impacts on the individual. The outcomes of the program will be to graduate students who either want to be practitioners, at the RCEP or CES level with an ability to fit into a variety of clinical or research environments, or those who go on for a Doctoral Degree (PhD).
