The health navigator certificate prepares you to assist those with limited health literacy. Health navigators are specially trained to help people who may have a hard time managing their healthcare and accessing the maximum array of benefits from community services, clinical care, and health insurance. As a health navigator, you may also facilitate access to care and follow-up services for patients with cancer, HIV, and a range of other complex health problems.<br><br>Coursework focuses on public health, health communication, prevention and community health, healthcare delivery, health insurance and health information. <br><br>This curriculum is from the current college catalog and is meant to provide prospective students an example of courses taken in this degree/certificate.
