Nutrition, Dietetics and Wellness studies prepare you for careers promoting health, positive food choices, nutrition strategies, as well as for foodservice and management. Also, for those who chose graduate school in dietetics as the next step, our program can prepare you for the dietetic internships necessary to become a registered dietitian. Regardless, your career options are plentiful: opportunities can be found in wellness programs, food safety, schools, medical centers, and corporate sites, as well as in food sales and marketing. There's a science and psychology behind nutrition, dietetics and wellness. It's the relationship between nutrition, healthy eating, health maintenance, disease prevention and chronic illness development. Our major offers two study tracks: Dietetics DPD: After graduation, youll be prepared to apply for the dietetic internship program necessary to become a registered dietitian and/or continue on to graduate studies. Our graduates have a 100 percent pass rate on the exam. Nutrition, Health and Wellness: Youll focus on how nutrition and healthy eating play a role in health maintenance and prevention of chronic disease. This also prepares you for graduate studies.
