This program is offered for students interested in preparing for careers in the allied health fields, such as nursing, physical therapy, optometry, occupational therapy, and many others. The courses will prepare students for advanced coursework in certificate programs or for transfer to four-year institutions to pursue degrees such as public health. Students will acquire knowledge of human anatomy, chemistry, communication, psychology, human physiology, anthropology, andor nutrition. Students must complete all required courses for a total of 20 units. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to identify anatomical structures and describe the function of important systems in the human body, and be well-prepared for courses in the health science professions.
