The Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition program at the University of Mississippi provides a solid foundation in food science and preparation as it relates to human health and well-being.Housed in Lenoir Hall on campus, Lenoir Dining is an on-site, Certified Green, 40-seat restaurant run exclusively by Hospitality Management and Dietetics students. Students receive hands-on cooking experience under chef supervision.Graduates of this program may work across a wide array of industries to provide safe, evidence-based dietary advice and management to individuals and organizations. They may also go on to become registered dietitians and nutritionists, who provide nutritional services in a variety of settings, including clinical/health care, community and public health consulting or private practice, food and nutrition business industry, food service management research and education, sports or wellness nutrition and public policy.<br><br><br>Key Benefits<br><br>While the national average is just over 50 percent, 78 percent of University of Mississippi graduates who applied to a Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program following completion of the program were accepted from 2015-2017. The program also boasts a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
