The University of Texas at San Antonio integrated bachelor and master's degree program is designed for students interested in meeting the academic requirements to become a Registered Dietitian (RD/RND). The integrated 3 year degree known as the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP) is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Didactic and introductory supervised experiences are part of the curriculum and serve as a foundation of the program.Students that maintain a 3.0 in the undergraduate program will be allowed to transition to the Master of Dietetic Studies (MDS). The MDS is a non-thesis option with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and Treatment. Individuals with a Bachelor in Dietetics are encouraged to apply, but, will be expected to complete select undergraduate courses to meet the program's requirements. Individuals that hold a bachelors degree in an unrelated degree field are also encouraged to apply, but would be required to complete all the CP undergraduate degree program before progressing to the MDS. Admission of students that have obtained a prior degree will be made on a case-by-case basis and is also contingent on space availability. The Integrated Program does not offer a separate Masters or Internship Program.
