Registered Dietitians make life better through nutrition. They develop food and nutrition programs, supervise meal preparation and oversee the serving of meals, prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and recommending dietary modifications. To become a Registered Dietitian (R.D.), you must complete the academic degree requirements and 1,200 hours of supervised experience in dietetics practice, obtain appropriate verification, pass the national Dietetic Registration Examination.
