Physician Assistants carry out many of the same functions as traditional medical doctors including examining patients, prescribing medicine, and ordering diagnostic tests. In most cases, they work under the supervision of physicians or surgeons. This pre-professional studies program housed in Tech's department of exercise science, physical education and wellness prepares students for the process of evaluating individuals with unique needs and for continued education in a professional school program.
