课程简介
The Medical Imaging program, available to graduate students enrolled in the ECE Department, is implemented through collaborations between the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Radiology. This multidisciplinary program is created because imaging techniques have been playing an especially important role in medicine, for both research and clinics. New and sophisticated imaging modalities for in-vitro and in-vivo applications have been transferred from research laboratories to clinics rapidly to transform medicine. Such developments are fueled by the emerging fields of data sciences, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, making medical imaging an increasingly important area with growing job opportunities and economic significance. In addition to the training in traditional ECE areas such as signal and image processing, optical imaging, electronics, and computation algorithms, the Radiology Department will provide students with practical and clinically relevant training and education by applying these imaging modalities for medical diagnosis and treatments. This program will provide the students with the confidence and communication skills to successfully contribute to a multi-disciplinary team composed of physicians, biologists, chemists, mathematicians, physicists, and engineers.
