The School of Pharmacy offers a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (B.S.P.S.) and a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. The B.S.P.S. degree is not a practice degree, nor does it entitle one to sit for licensure examination. This degree provides the academic preparation for admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy program, a graduate degree program in the biomedical or pharmaceutical sciences, a professional school, e.g., medicine or law, or a pharmaceutical science or pharmacy-related career path. The B.S.P.S. degree consists of a minimum of three years of pre-professional (pre- pharmacy) course work and one year of professional courses. The B.S.P.S. degree must be completed before entry to the Pharm.D. program. The final year of the B.S.P.S. program comprises the initial year of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. <br><br>The M.S. in pharmaceutical sciences can be completed with an emphasis in environmental toxicology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, or pharmacy administration.
