To be considered for admission to the Doctoral degree program, the applicant must have:
- Be a master's degree graduate of a recognized university, with at least A- grade point average standing in the last two years of full-time study, or with qualifications accepted as equivalent by the Senate Committee on Admissions
- Completed courses equivalent to those required for the current Master's thesis degree in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University
- Be assessed as suitable for PhD level study by the Kinesiology and Health Science Graduate Executive Committee. The latter decision shall be based on such evidence as letters of reference, the applicant’s written statement and the applicant’s research and academic record

课程简介
The program is primarily research based and offers opportunities for the study of physiology, neuroscience, biomechanics, socio-cultural study of sport, physical activity, health and fitness behaviours. This program has a broad-based commitment to the advancement of knowledge, the improvement of society and service to all stakeholders in the varied communities we serve. We draw on our experiences in health and physical activity and engage in interdisciplinary research with like-minded scholars from the disciplines of biology, epidemiology, sociology and the behavioral health sciences.The Graduate Program in Kinesiology and Health Science offers courses, research and professional training leading to a Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Fitness Science (MFSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. Our graduate program is designed to prepare students for academic and professional settings and brings together leading faculty in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology, Neuroscience and Biomechanics, Fitness and Health Behaviours, and Socio-Cultural and Policy Studies in Sport and Physical Activity with national and international collaborations.
