Minimum GPA 3.0 (Graduate College requirement)

A personal statement (single-spaced) that addresses the following:
- Discuss the factors that led you to pursue advanced studies in speech, language, and hearing sciences. You may comment on aspects of the discipline that interest you, insights gained from coursework,clinical experience or observations,or other personal experiences.
- Describe your career goals.

Resume/Curriculum Vitae that includes the following:
- Any academic, scholarly, and professional awards that you have received.
- Leadership experience, extracurricular activities and volunteer or paid work experience.
- Any supervised clinical practicum experience (indicate number of hours and nature of the disorder).

Three Letters of Recommendation from people who can comment on your academic skills and your clinical and research potential.
We recommend that at least two letters be from faculty members.

Unofficial Transcripts from all colleges/universities that you attended. [official transcripts will be required following admission]

A sample of scholarly writing, such as a thesis, report of directed research, term paper, or publication.

Required test(s):
GRE General test

GRE Scores at about the 30th percentile or better (GRE conversion table)

Verbal score 147 on the new scale, 400 on the old scale
Quantitative score 147 on the new scale, 570 on the old scale
Writing score of 3.5 or better

International English Language Testing System(link is external) (IELTS) - minimum composite score of 7, with no subject area below a 6

Test of English as a Foreign Language(link is external) (TOEFL) - minimum score of 79 iBT (or 60 on the revised PBT with no section score lower than 15).
