If you decide to major in speech pathology and audiology at Western Michigan University you will be well on your way to working with children and adults in schools or medical centers providing evaluation and treatment services for children and adults who have speech, language, hearing, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. As a speech language pathology and audiology student at WMU, you will have clinical observation available to you in the department's Charles Van Riper Language, Speech and Hearing Clinic. You may be eligible for an opportunity for clinical practice in this clinic.
