Interested applicants should contact the directors of specific laboratories regarding availability of graduate training positions and openings. The minimum requirements for this program are an undergraduate degree and evidence of prior studies in disciplines related to biology, biochemistry, or biomechanics – a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is not required.
An undergraduate grade point average of 3.000 (A = 4.000) is required by CSU regulation for admission.
Minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based).
Minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.

The Ph.D. in clinical sciences is designed for students with an interest in biomedical sciences and applied medical research, providing in-depth education and training in one of several broad disciplines. The Department of Clinical Sciences offers high-quality education programs for professional veterinary medical students, graduate veterinarians, and the public through the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, a faculty and veterinary medical center of excellence.
