The Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences provides students with advanced theoretical and technical education and prepares them to assume roles as laboratory supervisors, educators and researchers. Studies indicate a M.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences provides an individual with a greater diversity of job opportunities, enhanced potential for job promotion and increased earning power. Several tracks are available: advanced, categorical, accelerated. Students holding a baccalaureate degree in clinical laboratory sciences and generalist certification are eligible for the advanced master's track. The categorical master's option is designed for students with a baccalaureate degree in biology or chemistry. The accelerated track integrates undergraduate and graduate coursework and leads to the awarding of both B.S. and M.S. degrees simultaneously.
