Students in Medical Laboratory Sciences (Medical Technology) prepare to become medical laboratory scientists who work in the laboratory/diagnostic sector of the health professions industry and in research laboratories. Graduates have high levels of employment and can work across the United States. Medical Laboratory Science students study on campus for three academic years and then spend their senior year in a yearlong medical center practicum. The practicum is a full-time lecture and laboratory experience that serves as the last year for the Medical Laboratory Science degree.
