Provide evidence that you will complete a bachelor's degree in any field at any regionally accredited college or university by the time you enter the program, or evidence that you are a University of Indianapolis undergraduate eligible to apply for admission through our Early Entry program.
Provide evidence of a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Provide evidence that you will have completed prerequisite courses by the time you enter the program with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0 and no grade lower than a C..
TOEFL/TWE scores - Students for whom English is a second language are required to submit TOEFL and TWE scores. Photocopies are not acceptable. Scores of 100 Internet-based total or 250 Computer-based total on the general TOEFL and a score of 5.0 on the Test of Written English (TWE) are the minimal score requirements for application. TOEFL scores should be sent to institution code R1321, school code R0618, department code 44.

Submit 3 letters of recommendation - Recommenders may submit their letters and evaluations using our online recommendation system via OTCAS. Immediately after you enter your recommenders' contact information in the online application, your recommenders are sent an email from OTCAS asking them to submit a letter of recommendation electronically. One recommendation must be from an occupational therapist. Other recommendations should be from a professional supervisor, and when possible should include an academic source.
Submit official transcripts through OTCAS - This includes transcripts of ALL postsecondary coursework taken at institutions of higher education.
International students must meet a minimum standard in English proficiency (TOEFL score of 79 on 0-120 scale, or IELTS score of 6.5) in order to be admitted to a graduate program at the University of Indianapolis.

The entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program prepares students to enter practice in the profession of occupational therapy. Students are prepared as generalists, however, a strong foundation allows for future specialization after graduation.<br>The University of Indianapolis Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).<br>The mission of the Entry-Level Occupational Therapy Doctorate program within the School of Occupational Therapy is to develop caring and competent occupational therapy practitioners who are lifelong learners, leaders, and advocates within local, national, and global communities. Students evolve into innovative practitioners who are critical thinkers in the development of scholarship, integrating evidence and practice. Learning opportunities cultivate leaders with high standards of professionalism in existing and emerging practice areas. Graduates impact the health and well-being of clients across diverse populations by facilitating engagement and participation in valued occupations.
