We are an energetic and excited group of students and faculty engaging in the life-long process of professional development through research, teaching, clinical supervision, clinical work, and service. We are committed to preparing ethical and culturally competent professional counselors to provide high-quality individual, group, and family counseling for adults, adolescents, and children in various settings.<br><br>Our program prepares counselors to meet the needs of the 21st century, an interdisciplinary work environment. We are one of a few graduate programs to provide both clinical mental health and clinical rehabilitation options. We recognize the critical relationship between physical and psychological health. Consequently, the prepared practitioners' should work with those experiencing co-existing physical and mental health challenges. Our graduates are encouraged to look beyond the diagnosis to address critical civil and human rights needs that affect all persons with disabilities, including stigma, social isolation, and poverty.
