Confederation College's Personal Support Worker is a one-year certificate program that helps you get into the workforce faster. Personal Support Workers (PSW) are health care providers who assist persons with the tasks of daily living such as home management, personal care, family responsibilities, social and recreational activities. Usually you work with nurses and other health care professionals, assisting them with patient care. The PSW is also a vital part of community health care – and often the person who really makes someone's day when they need a smile the most. During this program, you'll take courses in supportive care, professional growth, helping relationships and assisting clients across the lifespan.
