The Health Care Assistant Program will support you in developing the confidence, knowledge and skills required to provide safe care and contribute to the physical, emotional and social well-being of clients in a variety of health care settings. During the first 10 weeks, you will complete theory classes either online or in person on the Trail Campus. Both online and in-person students are scheduled to be on campus for one to three days as part of the HCA 100 Program Foundations course. Starting on week two, online students will be fully online until HCA 107 Personal Care and Assistance begins in week 11. HCA 107 takes place in person two days a week for 10 weeks. Clinical practice takes place in the final 10 weeks.
