The accelerated bachelor of science in nursing (ABSN) is designed for those individuals who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree and wish to pursue a career in nursing. This rigorous, 15-month, full-time cohort program begins May, Summer Session I, and concludes August of the following year. Following successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination, and upon passing the examination, will be licensed to practice as a registered nurse. Courses and clinical sites will be offered either day, evenings and/or weekends. Clinical practice sites will be offered in a variety of settings throughout the North Shore and Boston area. Students that complete the FAFSA may be eligible for federal loans. This is an accelerated program and students are encouraged not to work for the duration of the program.
