The mission and purpose of Seattle Colleges District Associate Degree Nursing Program is to provide quality education for a diverse group of students from a variety of backgrounds and circumstance. The program is based upon the faculty’s belief that graduates of an Associate Degree Nursing Program are prepared as generalists for entry-level practice as Registered Nurses in Washington State’s diverse healthcare settings. As an open-access learning institution, Seattle Central College prepares each student for success in life and work, fostering a diverse, engaged, and dynamic community. Seattle Central College offers an associate degree in nursing for students who wish to become licensed as a registered nurse. The Associate of Nursing DTAMRP is our on-campuses program that streamlines the academic progression for nursing students seeking entry-level licensure as a registered nurse with the ability to move on to a bachelor’s degree in nursing utilizing the DTAMRP. Most students take a year of pre-requisite courses prior to entering our two-year program.
