Environmental Health Science deals with human health effects of exposure to chemical, physical, and biological agents in the community, workplace, and/or home. This includes active involvement in preventing, controlling, and managing disease outbreaks and enabling society to function before, during, and after a disaster. Professionals, researchers, and academics in environmental health work in government, the private sector, non-profits, and the military. Our strong, practice-based approach, global environmental health opportunities, and low faculty-student ratios provide our students with a quality learning experience to enhance career development in a core public health field and area of national workforce need.
