A Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington will allow you to examine public health trends in various populations, investigate the causes of disease, and interpret research findings for policy development. The advanced research skills and knowledge you develop in this cornerstone field of public health will prepare you for a successful career in academia, government agencies, or the private sector. Our doctoral program requires a minimum of 90 graduate-level credit hours. Our core components include advanced research skills, as well as substantive topics in epidemiology. You'll also select a minor from a field of study outside of epidemiology and complete a dissertation.
