In today's globally connected world, it is essential for aspiring public health professionals to understand how health issues transcend borders and affect diverse populations everywhere.The Cross-Continental Master of Public Health (MPH) is a full-time, accelerated one-year program that trains highly motivated students to embrace the challenge of global public health through a practice-based, skills-focused curriculum. It is taught over three terms on three continents at three different NYU sites.The globally immersive Cross-Continental MPH program provides a solid foundation for any public health professional. Building on the core courses of any MPH degree, students will build skills to assess community needs among diverse population groups in the US and globally, develop, implement and evaluate programs that improve health and reduce inequities, and gain management skills to work in professional environments. In addition, students have the opportunity to study the health systems in the three locations. Throughout their coursework, students learn how social, cultural, economic, environmental and institutional factors contribute to health among diverse populations.
